HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD I ORDER A CAKE?
We limit the number of orders taken each week in order to focus on each cake individually. We ask for a month's notice for celebration cakes and at least 6 month's notice for larger wedding cakes.
IS PAYMENT DUE WHEN I ORDER?
For all cakes, there is a 50% non-refundable deposit due to secure your date. Without this deposit, your cake does not go onto the calendar.
The rest is due two week's before your event.
I HAVE A PHOTO OF A CAKE I LOVE; CAN YOU REPLICATE IT?
At Honey & Salt, we pride ourselves on completely custom, one-of-a-kind cakes, so, no we won't replicate a cake. But we absolutely can take your photos as inspiration and make something spectacular that is just for you!
DO YOU OFFER SHEET CAKES?
We do not offer sheet cakes. For weddings the price would not change to utilize a sheet cake to cut as they take the same amount of cake batter, filling, and buttercream as a tiered cake.
For the budget-minded bride, we suggest keeping the number of servings equal to or slightly less than the number of expected guests.
DO YOU MAKE COOKIES OR CUPCAKES?
We like to focus on whole cakes at Honey & Salt, so we do not offer cupcakes or custom sugar cookies. We are glad to send you to some amazing local vendors who do both of those things exquisitely.
We do offer French macarons for wedding celebrations, however.
I DIDN'T SEE MY FAVORITE FLAVOR LISTED; DO YOU DO CUSTOM FLAVORS?
The joy of running a small batch cakery is that yes! If there's a flavor you absolutely love that isn't on our menu, or a flavor from childhood you love, or perhaps something from your heritage that is special to you, just let us know and we can create it for you.
DO YOU OFFER TASTINGS AND CONSULTATIONS?
We reserve cake tastings and consultations for wedding clients only. Tasting boxes are offered once every three months due to their incredibly intricate and time-consuming nature. A consultation is held once you've tasted our cake and decided that we are the cake maker for you.
